Getting started
Do I need to download anything?
No. Chat Random runs in your browser on phones and computers. On a phone you can add it to your home screen for an app-style icon.
Who will I be matched with?
A girl — every match is a girl. If you would rather choose, open girls online, see who is free, where she is and which languages she speaks, and call her directly.
Can I chat without my camera?
Yes. Before you start, switch the match type to voice (microphone only) or text. Video matches need your camera on.
Camera, sound and connection
She cannot see or hear me
- Check that your browser is allowed to use the camera and microphone for this site — the camera or lock icon in the address bar.
- Close other apps or tabs that might be using the camera.
- Move to a steadier connection; Wi-Fi is usually better than a weak mobile signal.
- Reload the page, or try another up-to-date browser.
Why can't I press Next yet?
In a matched call, Next becomes available after a short countdown of a few seconds. When it ends, Next takes you straight to the next girl.
We don't speak the same language
Use the message box in the call. Each message she sends can be translated with one tap.
Coins and billing
Is Chat Random free?
New accounts get some free matches. The number is set by automated anti-abuse checks, so it is not fixed. After that, calls use coins.
How much does a call cost?
Each girl sets her own price, so there is no single rate. Coins are bought in advance from your wallet and used up while the call runs.
Can I be charged without noticing?
No. A notice appears in the call before free time ends and charging begins.
My coins have not arrived
Confirmation from the payment provider can take a moment, so check your wallet again shortly. If they are still missing, go to contact and keep your payment receipt handy — card numbers are not stored by Chat Random.
Safety
Someone was rude or made me uncomfortable
End the call — no reason needed. Then report them and, if you want, block them. Reports are reviewed by people and blocks are permanent.
Are calls recorded?
Not by Chat Random. Recording the other person is against the community guidelines and gets an account removed.
